KAUTZ, Hans Caspar(1744) Isringen 75228, Landkreis Enzkreis, Baden-Wurttemberg. Born 15 February 1709, son of Johann Heinrich Kautz and Anna Maria Shepp of Ispringen. He married (1) in Ispringen, 9 November 1728, to Dorothea Hemminger, born 1706, died 1736, daughter of Johann Phillipp Hemminger and Anna Maria Kunzmann. He married (2) in Eisingen, 25 May 1736, Anna Maria Lohel, born 19 June 1710, daughter of Johann Georg Lohel and Barbara Kunzman of Eisingen. Children from second marriage: Sebastian, born 8 October 1738; Christian, born 21 December 1740; and Jacob, born 1744. "Caspar Kautz, resident of Ispringen, with wife and 4 children, granted manumission to Pennsylvania 1744" Captain Brown of the ship St Andrew however took the ship to the port of Charleston. This may have been because the ship was chased by French privateers. Some of the immigrants of this time never made it here because of the French and Spanish privateers. I'm not really researching "Couch", however, a sister of my g-gf,
Tilman T. Sadler, was Nancy Ann Sadler (b 1843 - d 1909) who married
Nathaniel Couch in Crawford Co. They are buried in Uniontown, according to
the book, History in Headstones. I am hoping a Couch researcher has also done
some Sadler research and might have information on the burial place of my
gg-grandparents, Goalsby Argyle Sadler (b1816 SC - d1880 Crawford Co.) and
Angeline Peevy (b 1825 AL - d 1880 Crawford Co). Have you encountered Nat
